It can also avoid obstacles by looking for pet toys, plants, and other small objects.
The robot vacuum has a suction power of 6,000 pascals which is more than any other robot vac we've tested up to now. It is also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation that tracks its location, preventing it getting stuck on a surface.
The mopping capabilities of the S8 Pro Ultra are also impressive. It can provide constant pressure to the pad that is over 6 Newtons for a thorough clean. It also has a mop lifter system which lifts the pad automatically as it is able to switch between tile, laminate, hardwood and carpet or rugs, to prevent soaking soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self drying features. The pad can be washed and then dried with the dock and the dust bin is automatically emptied and returned to it. This means that you can set it and forget it, only having to clean the dust bag and refill the water tank occasionally.
All of this is powered by a lithium-ion battery of 5,200mAh. I tested it with its normal vac and mop settings for around 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to get power hungry and return to its base for a recharge. This isn't too far from the 180 minutes that Roborock claims and is on the same level as other hybrids I've tried.
This is a highly complete and robust product, with its only downsides being the fact that it's expensive. However, its sheer abundance of features makes it a tempting option for anyone who wants to get rid of their old stick vacuum and mop. If you are able to justify the price we strongly recommend checking this one out.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end combination. Its high-end price is justified by its robust feature set, which includes a large vacuuming capacity and two gyrating mops. It also includes a smart, app-enabled controller and powerful obstacle avoidance technology.
The L10S Ultra has a retail price of 999 Euros which is among the highest robotic vacuum and mop combinations available. In my tests, it performed admirably across the house. It was able to remove 98.4 percent of debris from all types of floors and was able to lift long hair without getting caught in. The mops were also great and produced excellent cleaning results with less effort than most mid-range models, thanks to their rotational motion and the powerful cleaning solution.
The docking station is the real selling aspect of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and advanced. The docking station emptys the dustbin into a bag that can be used for dirt, fills up the water tank for mopping and even dries mop pads. It features a real-time risk detection system, and its sophisticated controls let you schedule periodic cleaning sessions.
Contrary to the other hybrid mops I've test, the L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced debris pickup performance on carpets. Additionally it's not as efficient in removing tough stains like those in the premium Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra's many high-end features, it still requires regular care and maintenance. To avoid mildew and unpleasant smells, the base station dustbag, water, and tanks need to be cleaned and emptied regularly. They also need to be dried. It is also important to remember that the mop pads which are purchased separately, will need to be replaced periodically too.
I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the money. If you're on a smaller budget, I suggest a less basic model that allows you to save money while enjoying the convenience of hands-free cleaning at your home. It's important to note that even the L10S Ultra is the best robot vacuum and mop you can buy however, its cost and maintenance costs will ultimately make it more of a wish than a necessity.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
Eufy S1 Pro is the robot vacuum and mop you require to tidy up mess and remove dirt from your hard floors. This powerful robovac/mop set-up is a mighty suction capacity of 8,000 Pa. It also has a huge battery capacity that can be used for both mopping and vacuuming. It is also equipped with an excellent obstacle-avoidance system. It even comes with mop rollers that clean itself while moving, which makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that have to return to their base station mid-cleaning to clean the mop's pad.
The S1 Pro has a unique mopping mechanism that is a departure from the spinning discs and microfibre pads of other robots. The roller is almost full width of the bot, and it is constantly filled with clean, ozonated water from its dock. The roller scrubs the floor while taking in dirt. Dry debris is swept away with the side brushes or swept away into the front collision bumper. The S1 Pro then dumps the dirty mop water into its base station, where it is sucked up by the tank's heating elements, and then pumped into a larger storage bin. The tank that is onboard holds a decent amount of water, and it can handle about half a dozen mopping sessions before going dry.
The S1 Pro comes ready to use out of the package as do most robotic vacuums and mops. It will need to be filled with clean water, but this is simple to do in the cleaning dock. If you want to use your own cleaner you can include a cleaning solution to dock. If you opt for this option however, you'll need to buy the Eufy-branded cleaning solution that is more expensive than other robot brands allowing users to select their own choice of cleaning solutions.
The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and navigation efficiency tests, just like the majority of robots. It was quick to map a room and it was able to navigate around furniture. It got stuck on carpets with thick piles several times during my tests. However it could be improved by updating the software. The S1 Pro is an all-in-one robot that offers many functions at a a reasonable cost.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's entry level mop and vacuum cleaner, but it still has some impressive features. The dock's multifunction allows emptying the robot's dirtbag, refilling its water tanks, and washing and sanitizing mop pads is performed by the dock. The mopping system can be able to clean a large area prior to returning to its dock. The vacuum's extreme suction is ideal for removing pet hair and other debris that accumulates on carpets.
The software that runs the appliance is dense, and offers many options to customize the cleaning process. You can manually initiate the full map and then clear everything that's been that is mapped by the device or you can select individual rooms, expandable zones or even a schedule you've crafted. SmartPlan is one of the mopping options. It utilizes the sensors on the mops to map the area and determine the most efficient method to clean it.
The Qrevo performed well in our tests, just like the other Roborock models that we've evaluated. Its navigation system works well, mapping rooms quickly and cleaning them in a well-organized manner. The 'Normal' setting for pathing does a great job of covering a room, with no major gaps or missing areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system works fairly well, too although it's not as sophisticated as the color camera system on the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can spot hazards such as thick carpets, but it may not always detect small things like rug tassels, or electrical wires.
This device has a major flaw: it does not include a mop option after vacuuming. This could be a problem for those who regularly vacuum before using their robot. Fortunately, there's a simple solution: the app offers the option to "clean up" at the end of every vacuuming session. You can make use of the vacuum's mopping capabilities to remove the last traces and dust that were left behind after vacuuming. This is a great feature that lets this vacuum keep its cleanness a bit higher than its competitors with lower prices.
